Project: On-site contract copywriting, content strategizing, technical business writing, and editing for recently acquired division of BT.
Description: I joined Ribbit’s contract marketing team in March of 2009 to help the telecommunications startup establish itself and build market momentum as a development platform for integrated voice and messaging. Ribbit, which had been recently acquired by BT, had promising—even brilliant—technology and vision, but literally no marketing materials to effectively communicate that technology and vision.
Working with fellow content strategists and Ribbit’s business development team, I helped turn out essential collateral: Brochures, data sheets, customer profiles, white papers, email newsletters, positioning statements, and presentations. I continuously wrote and refined copy for Ribbit’s website, and wrote guest editorials and blog posts for the company’s top executives. I even wrote Ribbit’s winning essay submission for the BritWeek 2010 Innovation Awards—without any input from any other staff. Deliverables: Web and print brochures; email campaigns; website copy; data sheets and whitepapers; customer profiles; technical marketing writing; blog posts and guest editorials; press releases; copyediting and proofreading.
